The Jewish communities Schlaining and Oberwart
Under the protection of Count Batthyány three Jewish communities were located in the suburbs rule Stadtschlaining, Rechnitz and Güssing since the late 17th century to establish who were in the mid-19th century. Fully formed.

Rabbi Blau born, April 17th, 1861 in Székesfehérvár (Szekesfehervar), the son of Marie Fischer and Moritz Blue, died as the last rabbi of Schlaining or Oberwart on January 4, 1932 in Oberwart. He is the maternal grandson of Rabbi Gottlieb FischerWho died in Unterberg-Eisenstadt on 12 October in 1895 and is buried at the younger Jewish cemetery in Eisenstadt.
